45 minutes – $60
60 minutes – $70

All rates are subject to 5% GST and will be subject to 12% HST as of July 1, 2010.

Coverage

Massage therapy is highly accessible in BC due to the high registration standards in the province, its growing recognition by other health care professionals and its coverage under MSP, ICBC, DVA, RCMP and WCB.

Please note for all treatments you will be required to pay the full fee up front. You can then file with your insurance provider for partial or full reimbursement.

RMTs are primary health care providers, therefore patients no longer require a physician’s referral for MSP coverage

Premium Assistance

Those who make less than $28,000 per year qualify for government premium assistance through MSP. MSP allows for a total of 10 treatments per calendar year for any combination of therapy (massage therapy, chiropractic, physio, etc). If you think you qualify for premium assistance, please contact MSP directly for more information; a portion of your treatments may be covered.

Extended Medical
Most extended medical plans will cover 75-100% of the treatment fees. The patient should check with their insurer to confirm details. Many employers around Revelstoke offer extended medical benefits including CP Rail, School District #19 and Downie Timber.

No Medical Coverage
For patients with no government or extended medical, some insurance companies are now offering private policies. The MTABC can help provide information for any patients wishing to consider the option of purchasing private coverage.

ICBC
Accepted claims are still covered by ICBC under authorization by the claims adjuster and with a doctor’s referral. Approval for coverage can vary greatly so discuss this with your adjuster. As there are many factors that can affect medical or insurance coverage for massage therapy, we encourage you to discuss any questions or concerns you have with your local RMT.

WCB

Please note, at this time we are not accepting WCB claims as we cannot fit the recommended 20 minute treatment time into the schedule.
